Hi everyone, it’s been too long between posts from me!

Something Old

Back in October last year I was approached to draw a portrait of Nikki Jean, nothing ended up happening with the project so I filed under ‘F for Forget-about-it’, but then thought that I should at least post it up here so people can take a look. The brief was to draw something her fans would associate with things she enjoys – like baking cakes and hanging out with her cute dog. Unfortunately I couldn’t bust out with the usual LoungeKat sexy heart-breaker themes and found that this one fell a bit short of everyone’s expectations, but I still think it’s pretty.

Something new

As some of you may already know, I’ve spent the last 3 years of my design career working in-house. Over these years I’ve lived a crazy 14 hour a day, 7 days a week lifestyle and more recently have found myself with more projects than I can manage. So it’s with much joy and a dash of nervousness that I’m announcing – as of next week – I’m a full time freelancer!

I promise to post some ‘regular’ LK work as soon as I’m finished!

Also, I haven’t forgotten about my newsletter subscribers – as you can imagine – I’m flat out at the moment. I have a stack of sketches to share very soon!
